The Ockment Centre is a community centre where you will find a relaxed and friendly environment with a wide range of events and activities to choose from - see our What's On page for details

The Centre is run by our friendly team of staff, with help from volunteers, and overseen by the charity Trustees

 

We have a variety of low-cost rooms for hire, which are used for meetings, training, community groups and social events - see our Rooms page for more information 

Our reception area is full of information and we will do our best to point you in the right direction, whatever you are looking for

 

Every Wednesday and Friday morning we run a Work Club which is funded by Okehampton United Charities. The Work Club helps people who are looking for work and is open to everyone.

We like to work in partnership with other organisations and are always looking at ideas to improve our community centre

The Centre houses the Community Fridge which is available for all of the community to make use of to reduce waste.

​

Community Links are also based at the Centre who run a variety of support services.

​

Keep your eyes peeled for regular fundraising events such as table top sales, craft fayres or quiz nights, they are a great way to get involved in your community and the money raised is always used for our current project - see the Ockment News page for updates

 

Please come in and feel free to browse the Ockment Bookshelves which has a wide selection of used books only 50p each. We also have dvds, cd's, pre loved clothes and bric a brac for sale.
