Exciting Workshop developments... We have been working hard over the past few months to get our old shed usable as a Workshop for practical and creative/messy activities  We have managed to complete the first stage of development installing basic electricity, water and an additional exit door at the far end. We would like to thank the Okehampton Lions Group and the Norman Family Charitable Trust, and another Trust for their small grants that have made this possible...and to all the local volunteers and the DD&C Community Rehabilitation Team who have given their time and effort with helping us clear out the rubbish from the shed and load the skip The Hidden Gems Project are already making use of the space to make fantastic recycled jewellery out of waste metal and glass. But they are working in very basic and cold conditions. So now we are looking to Phase 2 of the Workshop Development. We are currently applying for funding to install more electricity, some storage type heaters, internal and external decoration, and to get some tools and storage sorted so that as many community groups as possible can make use of this practical space. Come along to see what has been achieved so far...or if this space would suit your group
